When I was elected to represent District 7 in the Chemung County Legislature, I promised to bring common sense, accountability, and a focus on the needs of our community to county government. During my first term, I have worked to support local residents, improve community spaces, and promote responsible government.
Below are some of the key results and priorities from my first term serving the people of District 7.
Our parks and recreation areas are important gathering places for families and residents in our community. During my first term, I worked to secure funding for improvements that help keep these spaces safe and welcoming.
• Secured funding for security lighting at Pirozzolo Park
• Secured funding to help install a new pool canopy for community recreation
These improvements help ensure that families, children, and residents can continue to enjoy these facilities safely.
Strong communities depend on reliable local infrastructure and equipment that allow town services to operate effectively.
• Secured funding to support repairs to the Town of Elmira bucket loader, an essential piece of equipment used for town maintenance and services.
I believe that public service should always put taxpayers first.
• Voted NO on pay raises for County Legislators
• Supported responsible county spending and fiscal accountability
Accountability and fresh leadership are important to maintaining trust in government.
• Voted YES for term limits in Chemung County government
I believe that term limits encourage new ideas and ensure that government remains responsive to the people it serves.
During my first term, I have served on several committees that oversee important county services and responsibilities.
Committee Assignments
• Aviation Committee
• Budget Committee
• Building & Grounds Committee
• Health & Human Services Committee
• Highway Committee
• Vice Chairman – Environmental Management Committee
Through this work, I have helped support the services and programs that residents throughout Chemung County rely on.
While I am proud of the progress made during my first term, there is still important work ahead. I remain committed to supporting our communities, protecting taxpayers, strengthening public safety, and ensuring Chemung County remains a place where families are proud to live, work, and raise their children.
